  10. CaseLinr is a Windows 3.1 ONLY program which prints case liners (a.k.a.
  11. J-Cards) for audio cassettes -- including DAT.  The image displayed on the
  12. CRT screen approximates what will actually be printed.  The printed result
  13. is extremely accurate and can be cut, folded, and then inserted into an empty
  14. (preferably clear plastic) audio cassette box.

  16. This version of CaseLinr includes an installation program.  To install
  17. CaseLinr run the program setup.exe from Windows. The installation program
  18. will install CaseLinr in a directory of your choice and create a Program
  19. Manager group and several items.  CaseLinr will also install ctl3d.dll into
  20. your Windows system directory (normally this is c:\windows\system) ONLY if
  21. you do not already have this file or if your version of this files is older
  22. than the one included with CaseLinr.

  27. CaseLinr is Shareware. It is NOT FREE SOFTWARE, but it is also NOT
  28. Crippleware.  It is fully functional and does not contain any randomly
  29. appearing oversized dialog boxes with insulting messages, charge card
  30. graphics, or floating buttons.  If you like CaseLinr and find it useful,
  31. you are requested to support it by registering (i.e. sending me money).
  32. If you have registered a previous version, you don't have to re-register this
  33. version.  However, if you feel a burning desire to send me more money, I will
  34. not refuse it!  All suggestions, comments, criticisms, and modification
  35. requests are welcome -- those coming from registered users will have priority.

  53. 1.2 - Added Bisect Side checkbox to global layouts. Changed the Invert menu

  55.       saved/reset and written to a cassette file.

  58.       Ctrl-Enter key combination must now be used, instead of the Enter key,

  61.       extensions (*.CAS) are now properly displayed in the Open... dialog
  62.       box.  OK in the global layout box only causes scrolling up or down if
  63.       inversion was actually selected or deselected.

  66.       specified in Control Panel prior to printing.  Shrunk size of about
  67.       box.  J-card icon now blends in with background color.

  70.       Provided automatic conversion from win.ini to caselinr.ini.  Added

  79. 3.1 - Reversed action of Enter and Ctrl+Enter during entry of multiple lines
  80.       in Titles and Songs -- Enter goes to next line, Ctrl+Enter depresses
  81.       the default button.  Fixed a problem with very long song titles.

  83. 3.2 - Fixed UAE introduced in 3.1 and fixed saving global layout which worked
  84.       in 3.0.  Both problems were a result of moving, incorrectly, all text
  85.       strings to the resource file.

  88.       user specifically requested it.  Sorted Files and Sizes list boxes.

  149.       current format rather than random garbage characters.  Fixed Format /
  150.       Sides... so that the font of Side Letter Text can be changed.  Added
  151.       the Apply Font button wherever that Font... button appears.  Added
  152.       Tab Stops and Default Units to the Format / Liner dialog box.  Allowed
  153.       entry of Tab characters in titles and songs.

  155. 4.3 - Fixed enabling/disabling the Add and Remove buttons in Format Sides
  156.       after a different Feature is selected from the combo box.  Fixed a
  157.       problem where measurements with "too many" decimal places were going
  158.       negative.  Modified title and song entry so that a Tab character
  159.       appears as "2 angle brackets (greater than signs) pointing to the
  160.       right".  Renamed the "Per Side" feature type to "Centered with sides"
  161.       and added 2 feature types "Adjacent with sides" and "Blank with sides".
  162.       Risized the window containing the liner when its width is changed.

  164. 4.4 - Fixed the problem where a Centered Feature is subsequently displayed
  165.       as a Centered with sides Feature.  Added Cut, Copy, Paste, Undo, and
  166.       Clear to the 'System menu' for song and title entry.  Added font
  167.       rotation.  Fixed checking that all songs will fit on the liner.  Fixed
  168.       reading in old (pre 4.x) liners and converting features.  Fixed several
  169.       tabbing and fonting errors.  Truncated all measurements to 4 decimal
  170.       places and updated DAT.FMT.  Added a setup program.  Remember last
  171.       format used and use this format as the default for the next startup.
  172.       Fixed problem where printing 2up and print to file didn't work
  173.       together.

  175. 4.5 - Fixed the problem where setup would not work if the zipped file was
  176.       unzipped to a hard drive.  Added support for Windows bitmap (*.BMP)

  179. 4.6 - Rewrote the "fonting" algorithms. Made Text Songs, Text Title, Format
  180.       Features, Format Liner, Format Sides, Format Songs, Format Title, and
  181.       Format Pictures into modeless dialog boxes which do not automatically
  182.       close, so that the results may be viewed and played with. Removed Text
  183.       buttons from Format Songs and Format Title.  Updated the caselinr
  184.       file format spec.  Fixed a problem with the Time and Date buttons in
  185.       Format Sides.  Allowed for the same feature to be added more than once
  186.       in Format Features.

  188. 4.7 - Fixed a problem with not being able to "extra" song, title, or side
  189.       letter characters in increments greater than 128 bytes.

  191. 4.8 - Fixed a problem where the bisect sides line would be drawn outside of
  192.       the liner boundaries if 0 was specified for the size of the song
  193.       overflow area.  Added support for multiple song overflow areas.  Fixed
  194.       a memory allocation bug associated with songs over 128 characters.
  195.       Allowed for 2-up printing in portrait mode and landscape mode.  Added
  196.       (endpoints) line style.
